Two towns with a history involving a legal battle of a shared dam. There is animosity shared on both sides even with the adutls.

ESTABLISHING

Open with a basketball game. Protagonist and family enter. Preacher is attending as well. Teacher taking tickets and turns away opposing team.

Next day, child asks about the history of the rivalry and we show a flashback of the history.

PARABLE

Protagonist needs to get a part for his tractor in rival town, gets into an accident. Preacher and teacher pass by. Rival stops and helps him.

Storm is so bad the highway is shut down so protagonist is stuck in opposing town and rival continues to help our protagonist

PLAY WITHIN A PLAY

The story centers around a production of a play called "The Stranger of Briar Hill." This will parallel what is happening in the film.

ESTABLISHING

We open up to our last dress rehearsal where we establish the "Lost Sheep" as an extra that get's lost in the background of the scene.

On opening night, the "Lost Sheep" does not show up and the director leaves the production to look for him. Leaving the kids to perform without him.

PARABLE

The director leaves the students who have worked really hard for everything and spends all night looking for the "Lost Sheep."
